This was an event held on 10-12 April 2012 at Iona Abbey, organised by Historic Scotland and hosted by the Iona Community. The event helped inform the events in 2013 marking the 1450th anniversary of St Columba’s departure from Ireland in 563 AD, and fed into the redisplay of the historic site, including the carved stones display in the Infirmary Museum.
Members of the University of Glasgow who attended assembled beforehand into the Glasgow Iona Research Group.

The proceedings of the day were posted on a Historic Scotland micro-site, which is now archived here.
